Parker: 'Cattrall Row Made Sex Movie Better'

SARAH JESSICA PARKER is glad SEX & THE CITY co-star KIM CATTRALL scuppered plans to make the movie when the show ended in 2004 - claiming they have a better film as a result.
Cattrall reportedly demanded more money and creative control, forcing a stalemate with producers who were unwilling to consent.
But four years on, the two parties have successfully negotiated terms and the Sex & The City Movie is now about to hit cinemas.
Parker refused to speak out about the row at the time, but insists Cattrall had every right to ask for more cash and control.
She says, "If I had thought it was any of my business at the time, what I would have said is, 'Isn't it OK for Kim to think that the money wasn't right?'" And she insists the movie is better because of the four year time gap: "Perhaps she (Cattrall) was some kind of emotional psychic, because this way we made a better movie."

'Sex and the City' to Premiere in London, Not New YorkCity

Sarah Jessica Parker often referred to New York as the fifth lady in the show ``Sex and the City,'' which chronicled the lives of four 30-something fun-loving friends.
But the hit HBO TV series stands accused of being unfaithful to the city in which it was set. The much-anticipated movie version of the show is set to premiere not in New York, but in London.

The film's stars -- Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon -- are all expected to attend the London world premiere May 12 at the Odeon Leicester Square Cinema.

The film's next premiere will be May 15 in Berlin.

The movie's not expected to premiere in New York until May 27, before opening May 30 at theaters across the United States.

Tracy Lorie, vice president for international communications at New Line Cinema, confirmed the dates but would not say why the movie will first premiere in London.

``That's just the way the dates fall,'' she said.

According to London's Telegraph newspaper, New Line is hoping to maximize the show's global appeal with a London premiere.
But New Yorkers see the choice as a huge snub.

``I definitely think it should be a New York premiere,'' said Natasha Malinsky, 27, a part-time guide for the ``Sex and the City'' Hotspots tour in Manhattan and a big fan of the show.

``It has really nothing to do with London, and I'm very upset that they would do that,'' she said. ``The whole show is about New York. They filmed here for six years. To be in London doesn't make a lot of sense.''

Neil Sean, a popular TV and radio entertainment reporter in London, said the show is wildly popular in Europe, so it's not surprising the movie would premiere in London.

``The biggest sales on DVDs come from England and Europe, and the highest ratings came from England,'' he said. ``We stuck with it much longer than people did in America. You guys liked it for two seasons or whatever, but we stayed with it much longer. We can't get enough of it.''

Sean said the entire cast is staying at London's Dorchester Hotel for the premiere, except for Cattrall, who is staying with friends.

Sean said reruns of the series on Paramount's channel in London get the same kind of ratings as the show in its initial run.

Even so, the series, which ran for six seasons between 1998 and 2004, was very much a tribute to New York. While other series set in New York, such as ``Seinfeld,'' were actually shot mostly in Los Angeles, romantic Manhattan backdrops were from the beginning an integral part of ``Sex and the City.''

No one yet knows the plot of the reunion movie, although some have speculated that Parker's character, Carrie Bradshaw, may finally tie the knot with her on-again, off-again boyfriend ``Mr. Big,'' played again by Chris Noth.

Apparently the movie doesn't pick up right where the TV show ended either, but rather starts four years later, meaning the four leading ladies have undoubtedly moved on with their lives.

Sarah Jessica Parker Hits the Red Carpet in a $9 Dress

Never one to miss a hot fashion trend, Sarah Jessica Parker is jumping on the recession chic bandwagon.

The fashion forward "Sex and The City" star ditched her usual designer-wear on the red carpet this week, instead sporting a pale-blue flower printed sun dress from her own Bitten label, which is available from budget fashion chain Steve & Barry's for just $8.98.

The 43-year-old actress, who is reprising her role as label-loving Carrie Bradshaw - who favors designer outfits worth tens of thousands of dollars - in "Sex and the City: The Movie," has created over 1,000 items for her cut-price line, all of which retail for under $10.

"For a lot of people - young women, middle-age women, regular women - there is this idea about wanting fashion in an affordable way. They are living in a less rarefied world," Parker explained on the red carpet.

In fact, paying less even gives you more to brag about, according to SJP

"People have bragging rights about what they paid," she added. "I admired a woman's pair of pants at a party recently and she said, 'Fourteen dollars! H&M!' It really is, among the people I know, part of what they do now."

And, there's good news for all local style followers keen to get a piece of the action. Steve & Barry's is set to open a new Manhattan flagship store showcasing Parker's new Bitten line at 692 Broadway, the space formerly occupied by Tower Records.

Cynthia Nixon to Marry Lesbian Lover

Sex And The City star Cynthia Nixon is to have a commitment ceremony with her female partner, reports claim.

The actress plans to tie the knot with education activist Christine Marinoni in front of family and friends later this year.

A source told the National Enquirer: "Cynthia and Chris want a quiet autumn ceremony in Vermont under the red leaves. It's supposed to be a very low-key gathering, just for close friends and family."

The pair began dating in 2003 after Nixon ended her 15-year relationship with Danny Mozes, the father of her two children.

She recently revealed that she is in love with Marinoni and described their relationship as "fantastic".

'Sex' Spectacle in NYC

"I said to all of the girls, 'When we go out on the streets for the first time, it will be like when the Beatles came to America,'" says Bettiann Fishman. "And it was. I said, 'We are going to go out on Fifth Avenue and Park Avenue, and thousands of people will follow us.' And they did. You can get any film star on the streets of New York -- George Clooney, Brad Pitt -- and (crowds will) come around. But in all the years I've been doing this, the chaos we had was like nothing I've ever seen."

As "Sex and the City: The Movie's" first assistant director, Fishman ought to know of what she speaks. "SATC," New Line's $60 million feature version of the HBO series that ran from 1998-2004, opens domestically on May 30. But hundreds of thousands have been watching it piecemeal since September, when the first of 57 on-location days began shooting in New York. The girls -- Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon -- started a-strutting, the paparazzi came a-shooting and fans came armed with video and digital cameras a-rolling. The only ones keeping any of them in check were a few production assistants, two policemen and the petite Fishman, who climbed aboard a 10-foot ladder and shouted through a megaphone when to keep back, keep quiet and keep out.
They didn't call her "Bullhorn Betty" for nothing.

Death in 'Sex and the City'

Spoiler alert!!

Fans of Sex and the City will be dismayed to learn there's a death in the upcoming film. Actress Cynthia Nixon, who plays spunky Miranda Hobbes, revealed that "a character dies in the movie" at the Creation Nation comedy show in NYC Tuesday.

It's likely that all four female leads are safe since they're still in the last scenes of the movie, so speculation is now running rampant that Carrie's love interest, Big (played by Chris Noth), may be the one who dies. In the series, Big had open heart surgery in one of the later episodes.

On the other hand, Samantha could get another bout of breast cancer, or Charlotte (who gets pregnant in the film) could have a miscarriage. Last month, Sarah Jessica Parker, who plays Carrie Bradshaw, hinted that Carrie suffers a tragedy in the film, and that the movie will be a lot darker and grimmer than the comedic series was. "There's a loss that happens that's pretty tough," Parker told MTV. "Something significant happens to Carrie, and it really forces her to ask questions that you have to ask about yourself."

It's highly unlikely any major characters will be killed off since rumors are swirling that a sequel is already in the works, and getting rid of a popular character like Big would be devastating for the franchise. Either way, it'll be interesting to see what happens when the film hits theaters May 30.

Cynthia Nixon Reveals Battle With Breast Cancer

Sex and the City star Cynthia Nixon has revealed for the first time that she was diagnosed with breast cancer two years ago.

The 42-year-old redhead — known for playing feisty attorney Miranda Hobbes on the HBO hit — said she had gone for a “completely routine mammogram” in 2006 when she got a call from her gynecologist.

“She says, ‘Well I have some, it’s not such great news,’” Nixon revealed on Tuesday’s Good Morning America.

Even though Nixon admits to feeling “scared … I was very cognizant of it,” she said. “If it’s going to happen, this is the best way for it to happen - that it’s found so early, and we can just get right on it.”

She said she “made a big point” of telling her two children she had the disease.

“I basically told them they found some cancer in my right breast,” Nixon — who is currently dating NYC-based activist Christine Marinoni, following a 2003 split from beau, Danny Mozes — recalled saying. “It’s very small and it’s very early.

“I’m going to have an operation, they’re going to take it out, and then we’re going to have six-and-a-half weeks of radiation, every weekday,” she went on. “This is what grandma went through, and I’m going to be fine.”

Nixon — who said she kept her diagnosis private because “I didn’t want paparazzi at the hospital” — revealed that her mother had also overcome breast cancer.

“As the daughter of a breast cancer survivor,” knowing my personal risk made me more aware and more empowered when I faced my own diagnosis,” she said.

Sex and the City” Stars Back on the Red Carpet Together

Fashion queens of “Sex and the City” series reunited on the red carpet Monday night at a Point Foundation benefit in New York City. Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall and Kristin Davis were there to congratulate Cynthia Nixon, who was honored with a Point Courage Award. The organization offers scholarships to gay, lesbian and transgender youths.

While presenting the award, Point Foundation scholarship recipient Tyler Dillard declared that he admired the actress, who lives her life open. “It’s nice [when] ... someone thinks that the way you're living is nice enough that you should receive an award for it,” Cynthia Nixon told People. She attended at the event with her partner, Christinne Marinoni, who is a teacher and education activist. Nixon, wearing a sleek Calvin Klein gown, accepted the award, saying to the audience “when you're a young gay person, you yearn for nothing so much as the presence of other gay people, most especially, an older generation of gay people who can encourage and inspire you.”

Meanwhile, Sarah Jessica Parker, clad in silver YSL dress and heels declared, “The way she (Nixon) lives her life is good work. She leads a good example.”

Kim Cattrall could not have been prouder of her screen partner. “Isn't she just amazing?" she exclaimed, according to OK! Magazine. “Cynthia so deserved this. She's such an incredible woman.”

The femmes’ fatale “Sex and the City” premiered on HBO, June 6, 1998, and was one the highest-rated sitcoms, due to its realistic portrayal of the lifestyles and sexual behavior of many urban Americans. Set in New York City, the show focused on four female characters, Carrie Bradshow, Samantha Jones, Charlotte York and Miranda Hobbes. The feature film based on the series, “Sex and the City: The Movie,” is due to be released on May 30, 2008 in the U.S. and on May 28, 2008 in the U.K.

Chris Noth Hints There Might Be Plans For More 'Sex'

Chris Noth has hinted there may be a sequel to 'Sex and the City: The Movie'.

The 53-year-old actor - who will reprise his role as Sarah Jessica Parker's character Carrie Bradshaw's love interest Mr. Big in the movie - would definitely be interested in starring in a follow-up, but only if Parker agrees.

He told US TV show 'Extra': "I imagine if this film makes a lot of money, they will want to do a sequel. I don't know where Sarah Jessica Parker stands on that. It's sort of up to her. I'm just riding her coat-tails!"

Chris also spoke about becoming a father for the first time, after girlfriend Tara Wilson gave birth to son Orion in January.

He said: "Parenthood is so great. I'm very lucky to have the girlfriend that I do because she's probably the best mother in the world!"

'Sex and the City: The Movie' is released worldwide at the end of May.

'Sex In The City' May Hit Cannes Film Fest

Las Vegas, NV (CNS) - Rumor has it that the big screen version of 'Sex In The City' may make it's debut at the Cannes Film Festival. Sarah Jessica Parker dished the dirt at ShoWest in Las Vegas on Wednesday about the possibility of the movie being shown at the festival.

She explained, "What can I tell you in my own stealth way without giving the story away...A handful of people have seen it and have been very surprised by the seriousness."

"There's something that happens in this movie and it's really about realizing your own complicity and disappointment. You know the necessity of friends, but at a certain point, as a grown-up person, you have to take care of yourself."

"There's still plenty of ripe old salty dirty stuff. But I think it's a really smart story and I think Michael Patrick wrote a beautiful screenplay."

Parker said in regards of the rumored film opening in France, "I think we are all still figuring out what we want in terms of the movie. You know, whether it's at Cannes two weeks before it opens domestically."

"We have a lot of figuring out to do. Right now we are just in the final stages of finishing the movie and just getting it ready for everyone to see. It will all shake down in the next week or so."

'Sex and the City' Takes On The Big Screen

Sarah Jessica Parker has revealed her Sex and the City character is "fundamentally changed" in the new movie.
The 42-year-old actress - who plays sex columnist Carrie Bradshaw in the hit US TV show - says the character is drastically different because Sex and the City: The Movie picks up a few years after where the show left off.
She said: "Something major happens that fundamentally changes who Carrie is. The movie doesn't pick up right where the series ended either. It's a few years later and it's so packed with stuff."
Meanwhile, Parker's co-star Cynthia Nixon has spoken about how her character, high-flying lawyer Miranda Hobbes, develops in the movie.
She said: "Miranda is still living in Brooklyn, is still unhappy about it, and is still advancing at her job and in her firm.
"Her son Brady is thriving, but her marriage is kind of not doing so great. We are dealing with unfaithfulness, but even more than unfaithfulness, I think we are dealing with the daily grind that can take its toll on a relationship."
Kristin Davis, who plays 'Park Avenue Princess' Charlotte York Goldenblatt in the show, quashed rumours of the four actresses, including Kim Cattrall, fighting on set.
Sense of familiarity
She said: "It's almost like going back to high school, yet not. There's a sense of familiarity between us, and we are in many ways like sisters. We finish each other's sentences and we were never separated from each other." Nixon added: "The first day back on set was wild! We were back in these outfits and these heels again.
"We had to relearn how to walk down the street in unison and not teeter over in our heels, but it kind of felt great. What it felt like was a four-headed, eight-legged organism!"

SATC's Cynthia Nixon Opens Up About Her Lesbian Relationship

Until now, Sex and The City's Cynthia Nixon had been very quiet about the lesbian relationship she was in. But, recently, the actress opened up about her love, their life together, and how her kids handle her lifestyle choice.
Cynthia has been dating education activist Christine Marinoni since 2003. That same year, Cynthia had separated from her longtime boyfriend and father of her two children, Danny Mozes.
"I'm in a fantastic relationship. It's been about four years," Cynthia revealed. "I'm in love with [Christine] because she's her. If she were a man, would I be in love with her? I don't know. We shop and cook and raise children - we both pitch in."
Cynthia's kids, Samantha, 11, and Charles, 8, seem to have no problems with their mom's love. "They were fine," she says of the coming out. "My son was very little [when it happened], but my daughter has a gay uncle [and her godmothers] are lesbians."
Good for Cynthia for being so open and honest. She's teaching her kids that they should be proud and love themselves for who they are -- something kids desperately need to know.

Kristin Davis: Wrinkles Are Beautiful

Kristin Davis thinks her wrinkles are "beautiful."
The 'Sex and the City' star has ruled out ever having plastic surgery to look younger, because her smile lines are a reminder of the happiest points in her life.
"If you are trying to say, 'OK. I want to look in the mirror for the next 20 years and not see any changes,' I just feel you have kind of lost touch with reality.
"I feel we have lost the idea that smile lines are beautiful. When they have all these adverts where they have lines drawn on your face and they say these shouldn't be there, well, that would mean that you had never smiled or laughed and that's just not right."
Davis also said she has angered a lot of her 'Sex and the City' fans by being completely different from her Park Lane princess character Charlotte York Goldenblatt.
She told 'Access Hollywood', 'I'm definitely not perfect, I have bad days. I get cranky. I have snapped at fans. I mean I am not perfect, believe me. The sad look on their face when it happens is terrible because they think I am going to be Charlotte, but it's so clear they realize that I am not and they are just really disappointed.
"I am certainly moody and there are some times when honestly, I think to myself 'You know what? Today I should just stay home because I am not in the mood and if I go to the grocery store, something bad is going to happen. So I should just stay around the house!' "
'Sex and the City: The Movie' is released worldwide on May 30.

Full Length Sex And The City Trailer

A full-length trailer for the Sex and the City movie has turned up on the interweb super highstreet at iKlipz. You can see it here (we removed the embedded version because it kept causing browser problems. Damn you iKlipz, we'll get you for this).

This gives a first proper look at the plot of the film, which shows Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) on the brink of marrying Mr Big (Chris Noth) and that not turning out too well. It also confirms that Charlotte (Krtisten Davis) gets pregnant and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) appears to be having marital problems.

It looks, well, a little gloomy. There's a lot more moping and being disappointed in men than there is shagging people and being all witty and making comparisons between sex and shoes. It doesn't look much like a comedy from this. But maybe there'll be another trailer showcasing less story and more snark. What do fans think of this?

Wow, we got through that whole story without making reference to anyone being dressed like a bag lady with a budget or comparing them to anything dressed as lamb. We're growing as people.

Kristin Davis Working With Oxfam

U.S. actress Kristin Davis is working with Oxfam to raise awareness of and support for community efforts addressing the HIV and AIDS epidemic in South Africa.
Davis, an Oxfam global ambassador, was in Johannesburg during the weekend.
Oxfam said it was Davis' second trip to South Africa.
"I have been amazed by the incredible strength and energy of South Africa's community groups in tackling the AIDS epidemic in this country," Davis said in a statement. "People like Mama Grace, who runs a soup kitchen in Soweto for orphans and other vulnerable children, are an incredible tower of strength in South Africa's uphill response to AIDS. These unsung heroes are pulling together what little food and money they have to provide care to those living with HIV. Oxfam helps support them in this effort. These people are inspirational, but can't win the battle on their own. These communities need nurses and doctors. These wonderful people are holding up their communities and need our support."

Sarah Jessica Parker Does Sundance

With the current mass exodus from Hollywood to Park City, Utah, Sarah Jessica Parker and hubby Matthew Broderick appear to have hopped aboard the bandwagon.
And with good reason! The Ferris Bueller actor’s new movie “Distinguished Capacity” made its Sundance Film Festival premiere yesterday at the Eccles Theatre.
The new movie deals with a man who suffers memory loss, who teams up with an Alzheimer’s-impaired relative and his high school sweetheart to travel to a sports memorabilia show in order to sell a rare baseball card. Also starring in “Diminished Capacity” are Virginia Madsen and Alan Alda.
The “Sex and the City” babe stood by her man as they attended the premiere, wearing an understated black/grey ensemble, while her “Stepford Wives” husband opted for an equally ho-hum sweater and jeans combo. Let’s hope the film is more exciting than their wardrobes!

'Sex And The City' Movie Always Planned

The forthcoming Sex And The City movie was planned before filming on the TV show ended, it has been revealed.
Kristin Davis admitted that the four lead actresses had signed up for the film before they knew the series was reaching an end.
However, she claimed that the project had been delayed due to problems with the script, not because of rumoured conflict between Kim Cattrall and the rest of the cast.
Davis, the actress behind Charlotte York on both the big and small screen, said: "We had a contract to do the film even before the show ended and we were all so sad when it didn't happen. Now Michael [Patrick King, producer] has written another script. He wants Sex And The City to be now, so it is very much set in 2008 - three years later in their lives."
The movie is scheduled for release in the spring, with a sequel also thought to be in the pipeline.

‘Sex and the City’ May Turn Into A Trilogy

In a cute Upper Westside Manhattan apartment, Carrie Bradshaw is contemplating men, friends, shoes — and the possibility of a trilogy!
If you’ve been obsessively counting the days until “Sex and the City : The Movie” leaps from the small screen to the big one, then news of a possible “Sex” full-length trilogy should make you happier than Carrie Bradshaw at a Manolo sale. Carrie, Samantha, Miranda, Charlotte and all their men just might be appearing in more than one film, according to a report by Britain’s Daily Mail.
“The producers are already working on a script for a second movie, they are so convinced the first will be a hit,” an on-set source told the Daily Mail.
And it appears they are attempting to lock all the girls in for the full run.

“They are exercising the sequel option in all of the stars’ contracts. They want it to be a franchise and think they can stretch it over at least three movies,” the source added.
Dust off your cosmo shakers, “Sex And The City: The Movie” makes its debut in theaters in spring 2008.

Kim Cattrall's Neon Fear

Kim Cattrall has removed all the neon lights in her house, because they make her look old.

The stunning 51-year-old actress, who is famous for her fresh-faced looks, recently got rid of all the harsh lighting because "neon is not our friend."

Kim said: "I've gotten rid of all the neon lights in my house. As a friend of mine told me, 'Kim, neon is not our friend.' "

Although she is paranoid about ageing, Kim - who admitted to having Botox injected into her forehead - will never resort to going under the knife to regain her youth.

The 'Sex and the City' star said: "I'm terrified of plastic surgery. I prefer to think it's possible to be like Helen Mirren or Judi Dench, who look great but also look like women of their age. But I do empathise with women who have cosmetic surgery because there's such a lot of pressure to do it.

"Let's face it, ageing is tough, and who actually likes their lines or wrinkles? Not me, that's for sure."

Noth Still Attracting Attention For 'Sex'

New York actor Chris Noth reportedly can't go very far without meeting people who want to discuss his "Sex and the City" character, Mr. Big.

"Chris and I were sitting in the car, shooting a scene in the middle of Manhattan traffic, and everyone was honking and getting impatient when we had to reshoot the scene," Noth's "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" co-star, Alicia Witt, told the New York Daily News.

"There was a burly, older truck driver who looked furious and was honking his horn and looking right at us. Chris stuck his head out the window to see what he wanted and the man shouted: 'Marry Carrie! Marry Carrie!' We died of laughter!"

Noth is reprising his role as Carrie's commitment-phobic beau in the upcoming "Sex and the City: The Movie," a big-screen follow-up to the hit TV show.

Actress Sarah Jessica Parker plays Carrie.

Cynthia Nixon's Playdate Wish

Sarah Jessica Parker and Cynthia Nixon are desperate for their two sons to have a playdate.
The actresses are both currently filming the 'Sex and the City' movie and want Cynthia's four-year-old son Charles, and Sarah's five-year-old boy James to become friends.
Cynthia - who also has an 11-year-old daughter, Samantha - said: "If we're shooting late on a Friday night, they'll come by the set.
"But James and Charlie seem to be on set different days. But we talk to Charlie about James and James about Charlie, and one day we'll figure it out so they can be there at the same time."
The flame-haired actress - who split from the children's father Danny Mozes in 2003, after falling in love with education activist Christine Marinoni - also revealed she encourages Samantha and Charles to give money to charity.
She said: "My children are being raised Jewish, so last year we all had a meeting with a rabbi, who said it's good to let your children know what their parents values are."
Despite her wealth and fame, Cynthia refuses to send her children to private school.
She added to People magazine: "I'm a very big public school advocate. I try to bring public awareness to increase funding. My kids go to public school. I grew up in New York, went to public school, got a great education. It wasn't a tough decision."

Sarah Jessica Parker: The Latest Sex And The City Outfit

Another day, another teaser for the Sex and the City movie - or at least, what the girls are going to be wearing in it.
Yes, earlier we showed you Samantha's - sorry, Kim Cattrall's - blood-stained fur coat. And now we can bring you Carrie's - sorry, Sarah Jessica Parker's - outfit from the same scene, which was shot yesterday in New York's Bryant Park.
And it consists of: a clearly adorable silver-grey puffball dress hidden underneath an enormous grey fur wrap (let's hope it's not real, otherwise some PETA-style protest might be called for), white leather ankle boots and long, metallic, white gloves. Erm, which is all in a day's work for Patricia Field.

Cattrall Is Never Marrying Again

Kim Cattrall has slammed reports she is planning to marry her boyfriend Alan Wyse, insisting she will never walk down the aisle again.

Earlier this year, British newspapers claimed the 51-year-old Sex And The City star was planning a wedding with the 27-year-old chef - but Cattrall has no intention of making him husband number four.

She says: "I'm not, and believe me, I'd be the first to know.

"There's no reason to. I'll never get married again. We have such a great time as we are and I don't want anything to spoil: I am happier than I have ever been and I want it to stay that way."

Kristin Unprepared For Movie Interest

Kristin Davis has confessed she was unprepared for the level of media attention on the New York shoot of the new Sex And The City movie, with the stars finding themselves surrounded by paparazzi every day.

According to Us magazine, the star told reporters she "wasn't prepared for the intensity" of shooting the film, and refused to answer questions on whether she and screen husband Harry (Evan Handler) adopt a baby.

"You don't want to pay your ten dollars and already know what happens," she said.

Meanwhile Willie Garson, who plays Carrie's gay pal Stanford, said the movie shoot is coming along well.

"We shot a scene with all of us sitting around the table. It was the last supper," he smiled. "It was surreal...it's like we just left. We're such a family."

But he refused to discuss the subject of Carrie's possible wedding to Big. "What wedding, no!" he said.

Executive producer Michael Patrick King has said that some scenes fans are taking for fact could be dream sequences.

Sarah Jessica Parker to Star in "The Late Bloomer's Revolution" Film

Stage and screen actress Sarah Jessica Parker is slated to star in Amy Sherman-Palladino's forthcoming film "The Late Bloomer's Revolution," according to Variety.

Sherman-Palladino ("Gilmore Girls," the upcoming "The Return of Jezebel James") will make her feature directorial debut with her adaptation of the Amy Cohen book. Parker and Alison Benson, her Pretty Matches partner, will produce the film, a joint venture between Picturehouse and HBO Films.

The film, according to the trage magazine, concerns a single woman who, following her mother's death, "develops a bond with her father as they both try to get on with their lives in the dating world."

Sherman-Palladino previously directed episodes of her series "Gilmore Girls" as well as episodes of her new comedy "The Return of Jezebel James," which is slated to air on FOX. The latter features Parker Posey and Lauren Ambrose.

Best known for her award-winning work as Carrie Bradshaw on HBO's "Sex and the City" — which she is currently reprising for the upcoming film based on that series — Parker's roots are on the stage. The actress made her Broadway debut in The Innocents and then became a replacement in the title role of the Tony-winning musical Annie. Other stage credits include How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (where she played opposite husband Matthew Broderick), Once Upon a Mattress, To Gillian on Her 37th Birthday, The Heidi Chronicles, The Substance of Fire, Sylvia and Wonder of the World. She will also star in the upcoming film adaptation of Rebecca Gilman's Spinning Into Butter.

Kim Cattrall Jealous Of Samantha

Kim Cattrall is jealous of her 'Sex and the City' character.

The actress - who played maneater Samantha Jones in the hit US TV series - wishes she was loved as much by fans as her alter-ego.

Kim told Britain's Glamour magazine: "People used to try and book me as Samantha - can you believe that? And I just wanted to scream, 'I am not Samantha!' Nor do I want to be, as much as I think she's great. Nobody's really interested in getting to know me.

"I feel jealous of Samantha, because I feel like maybe I might be quite funny or interesting if I was given the chance."

The 50-year-old actress - who has reprised her role as the glamorous PR executive for the 'Sex and the City' movie - also wishes she had Samantha's straight talking skills.

She said: "I flew from Ireland to Canada in economy class recently. I sat down, exhausted, and this woman behind me starts talking really loudly saying, 'Oh there's a woman who used to be an actress on the plane - she was in that thing 'Sex and the City', which I always thought was c**p.'

"I didn't know whether to turn around in a Samantha-like way and say, 'Really? What didn't you like about it?' or just leave it."

Mr. Big Talks Sex And The City Spoilers

Sex And The City actor Chris Noth has a message for fans of the hit show who don't want to know the plot of the movie version – don’t believe all you read!!
Paparazzi photos from the movie's New York set have sparked a flood of supposed plot spoilers.
But according to Noth - who plays Carrie Bradshaw's longtime love-interest, Mr Big - all it not what it seems.
He tells Access Hollywood: “They’re already making wrong observations based on a piece that actually isn’t what they think it is. As soon as you start thinking what Page Six says is true, you should go the opposite direction.”
In particular, he says that pictures of Carrie in a wedding dress, don’t necessarily mean she'll be taking a trip down the aisle.
He said: “It’s safe to say anything is possible and anything you read in the papers, take with a healthy, healthy dose of skepticism.”

'Sex and the City' Returns, With Fashion To Spare

The "Sex and the City" quartet of New York career women is back and soon to provide fans with a new dose of fashion fabulousness.
"Sex and the City: The Movie" began shooting in New York on Sept. 17 and, judging from the first few days of production, the costume designer Patricia Field has lost none of her mojo.
Au contraire.
Although the movie's four stars are nearly a decade older than they were when the U.S. television series began, Field continues to dress Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) and her trio of BFFs (Best Friends Forever) in the same wild array of haute couture and vintage finds that transformed both fashion and television's glamour quotient when the series aired from 1999 to 2004 on the maverick cable network HBO.
" 'Sex and the City' was key to what is now driving fashion," said Merrill Greene, vice president and creative director of Stylesight, a New York-based online trend-tracking and forecasting service with clients like Macy's, Target and Victoria's Secret. "Patricia Field's curation of what is available at large gave the characters street cred and drove desire. Patricia is always on the edge, mixing things up, mixing highbrow and lowbrow."
"The show made people want to look stylish and hip and New York cool," said the actress and model Amber Valletta. " 'Sex and the City' impacted a certain generation of women, who like the way they look and feel when they are dressed up in those sorts of urban wear."
That gear includes Manolo Blahnik stilettos, mad hats, tight jeans, full skirts, great coats, men's vests and ties and oversized designer handbags - all of which will be featured in the movie, as well as the bold colors and geometric prints that Field pulled for the series from designers like Dolce & Gabbana, Dior, Blumarine, Chanel, Prada and Roberto Cavalli.
Remember the floppy, fabric flower pins that Parker's character wore in the series? On the third day of shooting, Parker wore the accessory deconstructed: a gold and silver lamé hibiscus larger than her head, perched on the shoulder of a shirred, white jersey sheath .
And the Swarovski-encrusted Timmy Woods Eiffel Tower bag that Parker carried on the first day of production was an homage to the series finale, which took place in Paris.
There were more cabbage roses on Parker the first week of filming than you would find in a Dorothy Draper living room. As cast and crew traipsed between Christie's, the Four Seasons Hotel and the New York Library, Parker donned a red cabbage rose bubble dress over a sheath in the same material with zebra high heels.
This ensemble followed a green floral print dress with a sleeveless coat in a different green floral pattern, which was paired with a black studded belt and brown studded high-heeled Dior sandals.
When the film is released in May 2008, Greene expects to see the four stars dressed in clothes that are light and feminine, featuring very modern fabrics and lots of color.
"I expect Patricia will be in her hyper-girlieness in Sarah's character," said Greene. "The London designers had a really good season; she may pull from Christopher Kane, Mario Schwab, Clare Tough. Dolce and Gabbana looked fabulous and Prada was very curvy in an Art Nouveau kind of way."
Whatever she is wearing, Carrie Bradshaw will no doubt be wearing it with her Manolo Blahniks, a brand now coveted - thanks to the show - from Toronto to Tours.
The other night, Valletta and a couple of girlfriends were out in Beverly Hills in their Manolo Blahniks when one of the women, who is pregnant, kicked off her shoes.
"Then I took off mine, and there we all were, out for the evening, Manolos in hand," Valletta recalled. "We had to laugh because it was such a 'Sex and the City' moment."

Stress and the City: Feuding Between Actresses Threatens To Halt Filming

Put four feisty women on a set and what do you get? Catfights and handbags at dawn, of course.
When news of the impending Sex And The City movie broke, women and gay men everywhere were waving their Manolos in the air and jumping with joy.
But now it's reported in-fighting is threatening to halt filming.
Fiery Kim Cattrall, who plays Samantha, has reignited her feud with co-star Sarah Jessica Parker, aka Carrie Bradshaw, after two big bust-ups on and off the set.
Last week Kim, 51, stormed out of a reunion party in New York's Butter restaurant in a huge huff.
A source said: "Kim and Sarah had words and obviously something was said that upset Kim and she just stormed out. It's well known the girls are all quite feisty and opinionated."
"Everyone else at the party seemed quite embarrassed and shocked."
Just this week Kristin Davis, who plays Charlotte, reportedly had to separate the girls after Kim shouted at Sarah for fluffing her lines and stealing her shoes.
An insider revealed: "Kim wanted to wear a pair of red heels and picked them out from wardrobe especially, but then Sarah apparently swept in and took them, much to Kim's disgust."
Tension between the pair is said to behind delays in the movie, due for release next year, and producers fear for the film's future if the spat continues.
The insider said: "By the end of the TV series they could barely be civil to each other. But both women are top professionals and won't let this get in the way of their jobs.
"They know the Sex And The City movie is a huge money-spinner and a great way to wave goodbye to their characters, and each other, for good."
Filming of the big screen version of the cult wildly successful Sex and the City television show started earlier this week, after a deal was sealed between feuding actresses Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall.
Parker and Cattrall reportedly fell out during the filming of the television show, which ended in 2004.
Celebrity websites reported attempts to make the movie stalled when Cattrall demanded for same money as Parker who was always paid more for the television series due to her additional role as executive producer.
However despite coming together on Monday as filming started, it appears the feud between Cattrall and Jessica Parker is still be simmering.
Earlier the actresses arrived for filming looking less than glamorous in their casual clothes. But a few hours in hair and make-up and they were transformed into their chic and stylish New York characters.
Sex and the City fans are being kept guessing on details of what the plot of the film will be – but Sarah Jessica Parker couldn't keep one of the film's secrets under wraps.
The actress who plays fashion-forward journalist Carrie Bradshaw arrived on set having undergone a dramatic change in hair-colour from her usual curly blonde do to a more classic brunette.
Just what's prompted this change of hair colour is unclear – let's hope it's not due to relationship dramas with her notoriously fickle onscreen beau Mr. Big.

Meanwhile Kristin Davis was seen wearing a prosthetic baby bump on the set of the new movie, which has sparked rumours that her character Charlotte will be appear pregnant in the big screen adaption of the hit TV series.
In a scene that was witnessed by fans of the show, Charlotte can be seen running out of an Italian restaurant looking very pregnant. Chris Noth's character of Mr. Big then runs out after Charlotte, who was heard shouting back: "I don't want to see you. I curse the day you were born."
It is being claimed by onlookers that Charlotte appeared to go into labor before being driven away in Mr. Big's vehicle.

Sarah Jessica Gets A Happy Ending

Sarah Jessica Parker's character will find true love in the hotly-anticipated 'Sex and the City' movie.
The ending will see Carrie Bradshaw finally settling down with on/off lover Mr. Big.
The New York columnist is set to move in with the charismatic businessman, who viewers saw her date throughout the show's six series.
A source said: "Last week the production team visited the Four Seasons Hotel in New York for a possible location. One storyline has Mr. Big and Carrie house-hunting and they may use the hotel's penthouse in the film."
It was recently revealed Chris Noth would reprise his role as Mr. Big in the movie.
The movie's writer-and-director Michael King said: "I am happy to report that Mr. Big is alive and well and living in New York City!"
It was previously reported the big screen adaptation of the TV show would focus on Mr. Big's death, rather than his romance with Carrie.
The final series of 'Sex and the City' ended with Mr. Big flying to Paris to declare his love for Carrie and taking her back home to New York.
Last month, it was confirmed the show's main stars - Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis and Kim Cattrall - had all agreed to reunite for the film.
The movie is scheduled to begin shooting in September in New York.
Parker recently revealed she can't wait to start work on the project "very soon".

"But now it's happening, it's fantastic."
